It was only three years ago! Let's get together on March 9, 2014 at 3:00 pm to commemorate the Great East Japan earthquake that struck on March 11, 2011.
Tens of thousands of people lost their lives on that day. In this tragedy there has always been a special place in our hearts for the 1567 children who lost one parent, and the 241 children who lost both parents. As always, we want to help the children first.

This year, the international trail-running and adventure-racing community is helping us by donating autographed running gear. Every one of you who joins in person on March 9 will have a chance to win a piece of gear. Any donation, and especially from children, is welcome! Every effort, big and small, will be warmly felt, valued and thanked. If you are unable to join us on March 9, you can still donate directly by money transfer. Please send us a note afterwards so we can consolidate the names and comments here on this site.

PS (2). We have also signed up Step2000 to join the "Run 311" a global running event dedicated to the Tohoku Earthquake reconstruction. Run 311 tracks mileage achieved and has logged some 23,000 km of distance by participants as of March 1.

2011年3月11日に起こった未曾有の大震災から3年が経とうとしておりますが、被災地では、今なお多くの人々が厳しい状況におかれています。「大切なものを失った被災地の方を忘れない」という思いから、今年もStep2000チャリティーウォークを開催します。

集まった寄付金は、東日本大震災で被災した子供たち、親を亡くした子供たちを支援するために役にたてていただくつもりです。震災から時が経つとともに、残念ながら人々の関心は風化しています。チャリティーウォークに参加し、被災地に寄り添ってみませんか。

レパルスベイにある香港インターナショナルスクール小学部（23 South Bay Close, Repulse Bay)から少し山側の、ツイン山（孖崗山）に続く階段前に3月9日午後3時に集合して下さい。
（注：ツイン山の階段がきついと思われる方には、平坦な易しい階段回避コースを用意しています。）

追記2：今年のStep2000 for Tohokuは「RUN311」という東日本大震災の慰霊と復興支援を
目的にした グローバルで体験を共有できる「ランニング●イベント」と連携します。
