It was 11 years ago today that Japan was struck by the Tohoku earthquake which devastated the communities along Japan’s northern coastline. As is often the case, it struck the children especially hard.
Today, the world is confronted by a global pandemic and now a war in Ukraine. And again, children are suffering. Although we are not running any event in 2022 here in Hong Kong, we would like to encourage all of you to pause for just a moment and think about what is happening around the world, reach out and perhaps lend a helping hand to support groups that are working hard to make a difference.
Again, all in support of the children who are the future.
11年前の今日。東日本大震災が発生した日。たくさんの尊い命が奪われました。
現在、世界は紛争、感染症のパンデミック、気候危機などで甚大な被害が出ています。東日本大震災の追悼とともに、犠牲になっている罪もない市民、子供たちに思いを寄せたいと思います。香港でStep2000としてのイベントは開催しませんが、みなさま、それぞれ、自分にできる支援をお願いします。
未来の希望、宝である子どもたちの幸せと、世界の平和を心から祈念いたします。
