It is now two years (only) after the March 11, 2011 Great East Japan earthquake. 1567 children lost one parent. 241 lost both parents. While the people in Japan have made a tremendous effort to clean up and make things appear normal, under the surface a lot of help is still needed.
As usual, we want to help the children first. This time, we have chosen to channel our support through Japanese architect Tadao Ando's Momokaki fund. We like his sustained support effort over time, especially important to help lone children get the education they need to get the same chance in life as children with parents.
Like last year and the year before, we would like to gather in Repulse Bay. Let's meet on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at 15h00 at the bottom of the stairs leading up from HK International School primary section.
Your donations, and especially the donations of your children are welcome. Every single effort will be felt, appreciated and thanked. 2011年3月11日に起こった東日本大震災から2年が経とうとしております。未曾有の災害が残した爪痕は大きく、東北の復興には、たくさんの時間がかかります。「被災地の方を忘れない」という思いから、今年もStep2000チャリティーウォークを開催します。
厚生労働省によると、震災で親を亡くした18歳未満の子供は1567人、このうち、両親ともいない震災孤児は241人となってます。
東日本大震災で親を亡くした子供たちを支援するための育英資金を集めている「桃柿育英会」へ、今回のチャリティーウォークで集まった寄付金を送ります。
レパルスベイにある香港インターナショナルスクール小学部（23 South Bay Close, Repulse Bay) から少し山側のツイン山に続く階段前に3時に集合して下さい。
